Free Summer Entertainment For Kids in July

School is out and it’s time once again for beach sun and summer fun! And if summer vacation with no classes isn’t enough to celebrate, then the free flicks at Regal Entertainment theaters, dollar movies at the AMC Hampton 24 theater, and free bowling at AMF Bowling Centers should be.

From June 16 to August 20, Regal Entertainment Group (www.regmovies.com) will be offering free G and PG rated movies at 10 AM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to promote their “Free Family Film Festival”. At 10 AM on Wednesdays from June 17 to August 5, a select family movie at the AMC Hampton 24 theater (www.amctheatres.com) will be only one dollar. Some of the great movies on the bill at these theaters include “Kung Fu Panda”, “Star Wars: Clone Wars”, “The Tale of Despereaux”, and “Horton Hears a Who” to name but a few.

Are you in the mood for a little more active entertainment? Then AMF Bowling Centers is the place to be! Kids under 15 can register on the AMF website (www.amf.com/corporate/index.htm) for two free games per day. Registration is REQUIRED and passes are location specific. Participating AMF bowling centers include: AMF Indian River and AMF Lynnhaven in Virginia Beach; AMF Norfolk; AMF York in Grafton; AMF Chesapeake and AMF Western Branch in Chesapeake and AMF Williamsburg.
