Virginia Beach Attractions

Located a mere ten minutes from the Virginia Beach oceanfront, Lynnhaven Mall will keep you busy for hours. Entering the mall from JC Penney, I was immediately dazzled by the array of bright colors, ads, posters and bold storefronts, making for beautiful scenery as well as fine shopping.

The largest mall in the Hampton Roads area, and one of the largest on the East Coast, Lynnhaven Mall boasts an impressive selection of shopping, food, and fun, with over 180 stores, 17 eateries and restaurants, and a stadium-seating-only AMC Theatres, with 18 screens showing the newest releases.

The mall is anchored by JC Penney, Dillard’s, and Macy’s, with an assortment of other large retailers such as Barnes and Noble, Steve and Barry’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Old Navy. The glass-enclosed main entrance also boasts a full-sized Merry-Go-Round and play area.

Lynnhaven has a selection of stores you’d expect in any great mall, including Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor, Build-A-Bear Workshop, The Disney Store, Express, H&M, New York & Company, Victoria’s Secret, and Yankee Candle Shop. There are also a variety of specialty shops, such as Bubbles, Fiore, N’finiti Hip Hop, Perfumania, Stitch Stitch, and What’s Your Bag.

Food court eateries include Cold Stone Creamery, Dairy Queen, and McDonald’s. Lynnhaven Mall has five full-service restaurants: Bennigan’s, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Cheeseburger In Paradise, Johnny Rocket’s, and Ruby Tuesday.

Lynnhaven Mall’s hours are Monday-Thursday, 10:00am-9:30pm, Friday-Saturday, 10:00am-10:00pm, and Sunday 12:00pm-6:00pm. It is open the latest of any of the area’s malls, which typically close at 9:00pm nightly.
