"Dude, are you going to catch some gnarly waves at the East Coast Surfing Championships in Virginia Beach?"

For forty-eight years, the Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships (ESCS) have been nothing sort of bodacious. This year will be no exception.
The championships will run from August 25th to August 29th. Events will feature extreme surfing, moto-crossing, skating, beach volleyball, flag football, skim boarding, sand soccer, Virginia Beach boardwalk 5K run, beauty pageant, adult whiffleball and corn hole tourney.
More than one hundred professional surfers will descend on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, as they have been doing since 1963. Over three hundred amateurs will try their best to rip.
Like bands? You'll be able to rock out to your favorite tunes on the 26th through the 29th. Artists include Freedom Hawk, Joe Gosman Band, The Fighting Jamesons, Butter, Mercy Creek and many more.
