Last night a girl friend and myself decided to have a night out on the town. After spending almost an hour deciding where to go, I had a genius idea to check our site for restaurant options. We wanted to stay close to where were at, so we settled on a restaurant in Town Center. We had contemplated the Cheesecake Factory and even Bravo! but decided to try something new, Gordon Biersch Brewery was the restaurant of choice! Let me just say, that place was super busy for a Tuesday night and after getting my meal I could understand why! The food was AMAZING, they have these Garlic Fries that are to die for, I ordered a burger, I'm not really a burger kind of gal, but this particular burger may have changed that. I like my meat medium rare, I can't eat it any other way, so ordering a burger medium is a stretch for me, it- was- heaven! I know I keep raving about this burger, but for someone like me to be "wowed" by a burger, it takes a lot!
Here's the funny thing, its a Brewery, and we didn't even have a beer, I hear they're amazing, and if their food is any indication of the quality of their beer, I can understand why that place would be popular on a Tuesday night! I guess I have another reason to go back!
After a wonderful meal we took a quick trip across town center to catch a movie. We made it just in time to see "The Avengers"! It was a perfect end to our evening! The movie was, as it was promised to be, amazing! I am not that big into action, I'd rather watch a comedy, but this movie had the perfect mix of everything! I was surprised to find myself laughing through out the entire movie, and then being on the edge of my seat!
It was an incredible, low key night! Sometimes I can't believe I'm actually lucky enough to be here! Virginia Beach is amazing and has so much to offer, whether you're a tourist or a local. Now that I'm here, I don't think I would want to be any where else. Virginia Beach is slowly, but surely, becoming a place I'm proud to call home!
