Oh! The places you'll go!

“Congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose”

Spring is quickly blooming into summer. The baby birds are stretching their wings, peaking their heads out, and contemplating flight. Students are graduating, couples are getting married, big changes are happening right before our eyes.

It's strange, people seem to end old phases in their lives filled with excitement with what the future holds. It's that feeling of anticipation right before take off. Once we're in the air, the excitement becomes action as we see if we are actually prepared to fly. Truth be told, something is always about to end and something else is about to begin, the beauty of it is, there are always opportunities for new beginnings every day. Some are just bigger than others.

For example, today is just another Wednesday for me, I'm not getting married, I'm not graduating, I'm not about fly, but it's a new for me. Yes, it's cloudy out, maybe even a little chilly, buts a new day. I started actively working out, and I'm proud of myself for that! Yeah, I know its not a big deal, but I think little steps like this prepare us for the bigger ones.

So no matter what the day brings, take a second every day to think about how far you've come, and how far you've yet to go.

Make sure that you get out the beach this summer. Just because life is always changing it doesn't mean we should forget the simple things, we never get too old for the beach.
