Not only did this past weekend have amazing weather, it was filled with amazing events! Using the calendar on our website I planned my day from start to finish. Saturday morning, I dressed to impress and headed down to the car show. It was the first time I had been to the beach during a weekend event. Locals and tourists, blended together and strolled along the boardwalk with the excitement that spring had come and summer is just around the corner. As I passed along the incredible cars lining the beach, I found myself admiring the way they shinned in the sun, and what better back drop than the ocean?
After a long afternoon at the boardwalk, I headed to Town Center to Bravo! Alto Cucina to grab a late lunch on the patio with a friend of mine. I enjoyed my strawberry basil lemonade and took a moment to just breathe. Sometimes I think we forget to take a moment to just breathe, relax, and enjoy the simple things.
In the blur of fast forward, we forget that it's important, what has real meaning. We can fill our lives with all the business the world has to offer, the beach has to offer, but by allowing ourselves be swept up in the noise of the world, while chasing the clock, we should take a moment for ourselves.
I love that the beach has a way of stopping the clock for me. No matter the activity, the chatter of families and friends, and the call of the ocean, a subtle sound that if you listen, can be heard above it all.
