This is an annual exhibit of artists who have created art as a means of coping with their illness or disability. It began as a concept that the Fine Arts Commission created for the opening of the Cancer Center some years ago. It became evident that all types of physical or mental challenges can benefit from the creation of some form of art. The Chesapeake Fine Arts Commission and Chesapeake Regional Medical Center will present the "Healing Arts" exhibit beginning with an Artist Opening Reception in the lobby of the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center on June 30 at 5:00 PM.
