Planes, Trains & Santa Fly-In!
November 25-27, 2011
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Military Aviation Museum presents “Trains and Planes” the day after Thanksgiving through the weekend! Come inside our hangar, where you will find a very distinctive sound of train whistles echoing throughout the facility. Looking closer you will find white smoke pouring out of locomotive stacks. Train enthusiast came from all over Virginia and North Carolina to setup their special displays of unique trains and scenery. Every display of trains has a theme in mind that are true to their character.
It’s an exciting day as we have a special fly-in from Santa Claus himself both Friday and Saturday at 1pm, as he stops by to visit all the children at the museum. Santa will land and sit in his big comfortable chair next to a decorated Christmas tree and each child will get a chance to give him their Christmas wish list and get a photo with the jolly St. Nick.
In the spirit of giving, we are asking guests to also please bring a donation or toy for the Toys for Tots bin.
The cost is $10 per person, but for every child under 12 years old, who still believes in Santa is Free! Hours are 9am-5pm Friday and Saturday and 9am-3pm Sunday.

About the Museum
The Military Aviation Museum is home to one of the largest collections of vintage World War I and World War II era fighters, bombers, trainers, and seaplanes. The main museum expands over 60,000 square feet and has expanded to three hangers housing a large collection of flying WWII and WWI aircraft. The museum has upper viewing areas, and you are also welcome to take a tour around these magnificent flying machines that have been beautifully restored to their former glory. Opened just this year and included on our tours, is the WWI hanger. On weekdays only, you may also have an up close look into the Fighter Factory, the restoration and maintenance facility for these aircraft. Visit MilitaryAviationMuseum.org for more information or call 757-721-7767.
