Virginia Wine Festival

The AT&T Spring Town Point Virginia Wine Festival is an annual event that no wine lover should miss. On Saturday, May 9, 2009, thousands will flock to the banks of the Elizabeth River in downtown Norfolk, Virginia to enjoy this festive event.
Thomas Jefferson once said "good wine is a necessity of life for me." This wine festival has become the premier event to welcome spring and feature great music, gourmet foods, specialty wares, and samplings of newly released vintages and past favorites from Virginia's premier wine-makers. Wineries from across the state set up their tasting tents along the river banks for many to come try chardonnays, merlots, and cabernets to name a few. Participants include Chateau Morrisette, Williamsburg Winery, Rockbridge Vineyard, and Prince Michel de Virginia.
Individual tasting tickets are available and include a souvenir tasting glasses. For those who want to bring along their friends, reserved tables are available for advance purchase. To find out more information about the wine festival and other events, visit http://www.festeventsva.org.
