Why I hate Obama-bad change we can believe in

.
Quote:
ECONOMY
Quote:
Provide a Tax Cut for Working Families: Obama will restore fairness to the tax code and provide 150 million workers the tax relief they need. Obama will create a new "Making Work Pay" tax credit of up to $500 per person, or $1,000 per working family. The "Making Work Pay" tax credit will completely eliminate income taxes for 10 million Americans.
There are 300 million Americans in the US and this will only help the very poor more into low-middle class by eliminating taxes. Since 10 million people will be able to afford more things companies will be able to charge more since people have more money. This will hurt the middle class because you won't be able to afford as much.
Quote:
Simplify Tax Filings for Middle Class Americans: Obama will dramatically simplify tax filings so that millions of Americans will be able to do their taxes in less than five minutes. Obama will ensure that the IRS uses the information it already gets from banks and employers to give taxpayers the option of pre-filled tax forms to verify, sign and return. Experts estimate that the Obama proposal will save Americans up to 200 million total hours of work and aggravation and up to $2 billion in tax preparer fees.
Say goodbye to companies such as Jackson Hewitt and H&R Block if tax forms are more simple than they already are. There would be no need to have tax professionals and tax companies if things were put into stupid terms for the average American. The tax relief check notices alone cost tax payers $42 million dollars to send out a simple document in an envelope. How much do you think it would cost to send out personalized pre-printed tax documents to millions of people? Probably hundreds of millions that could have been saved because someone was too lazy to fill out their 1040EZ (easy) form.

Fight for Fair Trade:
Obama will fight for a trade policy that opens up foreign markets to support good American jobs. He will use trade agreements to spread good labor and environmental standards around the world and stand firm against agreements like the Central American Free Trade Agreement that fail to live up to those important benchmarks. Obama will also pressure the World Trade Organization to enforce trade agreements and stop countries from continuing unfair government subsidies to foreign exporters and nontariff barriers on U.S. exports.
What trade policy? Can you be more broad please, just a little? Everyone would like equal trade, but I think it would be a step in the right direction to limit the quantity of goods coming from Asia into the US and provide penalties for companies that are selling hazardous goods. Creating a stiffer tarrif primarily on Chinese imports would be a huge mistake, they have a firm grasp on our economy.
Quote:
Invest in U.S. Manufacturing:
Obama will also provide assistance to the domestic auto industry to ensure that new fuel-efficient vehicles are built by American workers.
Provide assistance, like a maid? Obama should support Cafe regulation and strict deadlines of required mpg improvements within a short period of time. Providing assistance is not engaging enough...
The problem with automobiles being built by American workers stems from two areas: corporations existing outside of the US where money is directed to another country even though the car is built in the US, and the fact that parts will be made in other countries, then assembled in the US, which is going to provide minimal jobs considering the robotic technology involved.
Quote:
Boost the Renewable Energy Sector and Create New Jobs: The Obama plan will create new federal policies, and expand existing ones, that have been proven to create new American jobs. Obama will create a federal Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) that will require 25 percent of American electricity be derived from renewable sources by 2025
Renewable energy is not totally necessary. I think nuclear fusion/fission plants are the correct route as they provide massive amounts of energy, provide high-tech jobs, offer little waste, and are very safe. Chernobyl does not happen in modern America and living with fear goes no where. Relating to the economy slump we are in now - if no one is spending money because they fear a collapse then businesses cannot expand. They end up getting smaller due to a lack of demand.

DISABILITIES
Quote:
First, provide Americans with disabilities with the educational opportunities they need to succeed.
The federal government offers public school systems with fantastic special ed and other educational programs. If an individual graduates that individual can persue community college or state college at his or her expense.
Quote:
increase the employment rate of workers with disabilities.
I agree. Provide tax breaks for corporations and companies to hire these people. Credits are not needed. This will remove some of the unnecessary burden from SSDI, etc.
Quote:
support independent, community-based living for Americans with disabilities.
I don't think anyone really isn't supporting that. There are private companies that will take these people in for independent assisted living. Plus there are always churches and homeless shelters.

CIVIL RIGHTS
Quote:
Pay Inequity Continues: For every $1.00 earned by a man, the average woman receives only 77 cents, while African American women only get 67 cents and Latinas receive only 57 cents.
It's fact that men have the ability to work harder and have a keen sense to mathematics, a dominant and financially stable industry throughout the world. Women in general are less able to work as hard and usually do not receive a better education compared to males. However, this is starting to change in recent years. It's also fact that African Americans score 1 deviation lower on standardized tests, therefore they don't suit intelligent, high paying jobs equally. Latinas are the same way, they do not have the same education levels. Women latinas suffer from a lack of hard work ethic and education, thus they earn less.
Quote:
Hate Crimes on the Rise: The number of hate crimes increased nearly 8 percent to 7,700 incidents in 2006.
Since when? Since 9/11/2001? Considering that there are over 300 million people in America I would say there's no reason to panic. Some people are like that anywhere you go in the world.
Quote:
Efforts Continue to Suppress the Vote: A recent study discovered numerous organized efforts to intimidate, mislead and suppress minority voters.
I'm going to assume he's hinting toward corporate takeover and government
Quote:
Disparities Continue to Plague Criminal Justice System: African Americans and Hispanics are more than twice as likely as whites to be searched, arrested, or subdued with force when stopped by police.
It's called generalizing. Most American's don't believe in Jihad, a certain culture does in a certain particular area of the world. Without generalizing you're opening the doors to terrorism and if it can save lives 3000 lives in one day then go for it.
It's also fact that African American law breakers will use more force against a cop, therefore force is needed to subdue. Take a look at how many violent offenders are in prison. The majority are African Americans. Cops use reasonable force when needed and I give full support to them when persuing felons
Quote:
Combat Employment Discrimination
Obama will work to overturn the Supreme Court's recent ruling that curtails racial minorities' and women's ability to challenge pay discrimination. Obama will also pass the Fair Pay Act to ensure that women receive equal pay for equal work.
I have no problem if equal work is being done. If an individual has worked an equal amount, then that person deserves equal pay. I think a fair pay act might persuade employers to hire more males however to completely avoid this.
Quote:
Expand Hate Crimes Statutes
Obama will strengthen federal hate crimes legislation and reinvigorate enforcement at the Department of Justice's Criminal Section.
Hate crimes are a touchy subject, but suits Obama's audience. What exactly is defined as a hate crime? There are very opinionated answers.
Quote:
End Deceptive Voting Practices
Obama will sign into law his legislation that establishes harsh penalties for those who have engaged in voter fraud and provides voters who have been misinformed with accurate and full information so they can vote.
Sounds legit. But your vote doesn't entirely count, it's not a simple count all the votes of a population and whoever has the most wins....
Quote:
End Racial Profiling
Obama will ban racial profiling by federal law enforcement agencies and provide federal incentives to state and local police departments to prohibit the practice.
Federal law enforcement agencies do not engage in racial profiling. Again, it's fact that African Americans commit more crimes, particularly more murders and domestic disputes than other races therefore law agencies have right to enforce law. Providing incentives to not arrest criminals is clearly wrong.
Quote:
Reduce Crime Recidivism by Providing Ex-Offender Support
Obama will provide job training, substance abuse and mental health counseling to ex-offenders, so that they are successfully re-integrated into society. Obama will also create a prison-to-work incentive program to improve ex-offender employment and job retention rates.
How about working in prison instead of paying companies to shelter murderers at the grocery store. The last thing I want is a murderer helping me to the car with my groceries. Training to be one with society does not work, but education while being in the prison system does. Get these inmates degrees and certifications.
