God damn. I was a college scholarship Baseball player, who smoked Pot three times in my life, before pain and suffering was introduced into my life. I've been through all therapies and medicines, for all my symptoms, but, they are permanent and not affected by the most-powerful epileptic drug combined with muscle relaxers, which were supposed to relieve, only, pain from a subsequent injury. I'm 31 years old, nothing has worked.
I saw the effects, of all hard-drugs, deplete after I went through a coma, in 1994. That included synthetic antibiotics. Five years later, I did some research to find out why, and found out that caffeine, tobacco, cocaine, etc., all lower melatonin levels.
Then, in 2002, after a van broadsided me, permanent pain set in and I was back on a schedule of going to see a doctor. I told a neurologist that I wanted it to heal on it's own, so I turned down the "Neurontin" he was offering me. In 2003, I went through a year of doctors telling me "there's nothing else I can do for you", after going through prescription-drug regimens that caused horribly unwanted side-effects.
After nine years of cannabis relieving side-effects from the head-injury, I went through a year of "legal" drugs that not only exacerbated those symptoms, but, failed to relieve symptoms of the injury those drugs were intended for. So, after doctor's orders to dis-continue Topamax and Baclofen, I started back with the "herbal treatment", which has already proven effective for the symptoms resulting from the trauma which released twenty-six times the amount of endogenous cannabinoids into my brain, and, the cannabis easily takes away what those Prescription Drugs couldn't.
After a lot of research, and finally gaining access to the internet, I've decided to help others understand the benefits of smoking herb. The U.S. and Europe have been doing studies on it and can only find positive things. I was told to expect the information to become public within the next five to ten years, and, if you look at my "Cannabis Truths" thread, which has had more views than every other thread, besides stickies, in these forums, you'll see that the information has been coming out since, shortly after, the turn of the century.
Excuse me for a second. The pain is setting in, I need to temporarily cure it.
You see these "hippies" trying to convince everyone that weed is okay, and, for the past twenty years, people have been looking at them and thinking, "I don't want to smoke whacky-tobaccy if it will make me like you." You two have already stigmatized me, without knowing what kind of person that I was created to be.
So, there's your answer, and I've been sitting here, without accomplishing my goal of pain relief, only to get my point across to you because, I feel that, human interaction is more important than self-healing. They go hand-in-hand.

Representing some 80,000 Virginia nurses, the association declared last week that it "will continue" to seek the regularization of medical marijuana as a therapeutic substance."
