Anyone play Guild Wars?

aka the poor man's WOW?

I'm currently playing a Dervish in the Nightfall campaign, but I've got all 3 campaigns.

The nice thing about GW is you don't pick a server for your character, so you can meet up with anyone at all in-game.

Joe has/had a character. GW was his thing for awhile [running people for $$].

I think we're all consumed by WOW although I've been a bit busy lately.

Good to see you on-line again!

I bought GW and thought, no monthly fees, ROCK ON!!

Then I realized that I wouldn't pay a monthly fee for GW anyway...

I've played EQ, EQ2, GW, DDO, COH, SWG...always come back to WOW.

I really liked GW when I played it. I was anti-wow for a while. The reason I liked GW so much is that it's much more skill based than gear based. In fact, when I played, you could make toons that had pretty good gear as soon as you bought the game. It would be like buying wow and getting a level 60 in The D1 set right away... Straight into PVP!

I like the look of it... The mechanics of the game play... The biggest problem I had with it was that I couldn't get anyone else to play... So I went to wow...

Now, I'm pretty much stuck with wow. It's still the only game I can get other people to play with even a shread of consistancy... Even then, I can't get people to keep playing....
