For a job like that, they do most of the talking, and they will usually tell you what the hourly rate is (probably minimum wage). When they ask why you want the job, tell them you will be working your way through college and you feel that the experience of working for Walmart will teach you a lot about retail and supply chain management (which is the process of optimizing the shipment of products from the suppliers to Walmart). Tell them that you are excited about getting the job, and that you are looking forward to it. In other words, lie.

Haul is right.
They know perfectly well you're at the very beginning of your professional life. All you have to do is be very polite. Dress nice. Be 10 minutes early. Be enthusiastic and really WANT the job adn I'll bet you're hired! AND -- Make sure you get the name and address of the person interviewing you. Preferably get their business card. As soon as the interview is over and you leave - IMMEDIATELY write them a short hand-written thank you note and tell them you're really looking forward to working with them. Drop it in the mail that night. If you can , drop it in their local post office. |

As Chrish stated, don't forget the "thank you" note. It's now acceptable to send an email to thank them for the interview, but a hand written note usually means more to the interviewer.

My very first job was for Roses in their Sight and Sound department, so many years ago.
The guy did most of the talking... and I got it. It was pretty fun... got to work with some hot chicks.
