Scaffolding on highway + 70mph=

Almost near devistation. So I'm late for an interview after getting lost in the maze of highways. I'm following some car closer than usual (2 car lengths going 70mph (probably in a 55 again), but not tail-gating it. Then all of a sudden I see this ramp/platform from scaffolding appear in my lane on the right hand side and chunks of wood and stuff flying into my windsheild from the car infront of me tapping it. Luckily I didn't hit it, my car has some good handling, it was really close

Good thing it didn't hit you. I had something similar happen in my daily driver about a year ago. That damn thing jumped out of the pickup bed when the guy hit a bump, and came sliding across the freeway toward me. It ended up staying upright all the way over to the shoulder.
