There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades - where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem - because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.

So now we rewrite history to appease muslims. It's ok to teach evolution, which contradicts what is taught in Sunday school, but God forbid you teach something contrary to what they learn in a mosque. I don't know about anyone else, but I've had just about enough of this crap.

The government isn't able to just drop a part of education based on who's offended or not. Otherwise the entire white race could pull out segregation because it gives whites a negative image. Also they can't revoke a study because it doesn't work with so and so's religion either. With the theory of evolution, there's a great example. It's all facts that kids are being taught, not stories from some scrap paper written by people that nobody has met. Their religion and even Christianity has false holes scoured all throughout the book and they know it.

They need to stick to flying planes into skyscrapers and shooting eachother.

#1 - Evolution is a theory, and should be taught as such. Scientists are now concluding that the earth is not old enough to have evolved so "quickly". Why do you think there is so much emphasis on Mars and the moon, etc. They want to prove that although evolution could not have occured in such a short amount of time here on earth, that it began out there and came to earth on a comet or other transport. They are looking for anything that says no one created us. Good luck.
