From what you've told us about your nephew I have no doubt he'll do great as a LEO. The Marine Corp taught him discipline and gave him direction. This will give him purpose. That's not a bad career to go into. They've got decent pay and good benefits. I think someone who's been in the military/marines/* will be a better officer than a guy who knows he wants to be a cop since being a kid.
