Back to the future

In a nondescript warehouse in east Texas, mechanic and entrepreneur Stephen Wynne is bringing a rare sports car back to life. If he succeeds, he almost certainly has Michael J. Fox to thank. A quarter century after DeLorean Motor Co. began making its glitzy, $25,000 two-seater — an operation that collapsed after two years — Wynne's small automotive outfit plans to bring the vehicle back into limited production at a 40,000-square-foot factory in this Houston suburb.

I was driving through north Houston and saw several of them on the road. Then they went into this warehouse, and it had the dmc logo on the building. I think the guy bought the rights to he name and is planning to produce a few. I hope they are better than the originals. Electrical systems were crap.

Nothing about the Delorean was interesting in my opinion. The only reason it had the moderate success that it did was because of the movie "Back To The Future". With a 2.8 liter V6 producing 130 hp it was anything but a sports car. The "seagull" doors and the stainless steel body only added to a clunky look. They should have let the car die in peace (or pieces for that matter).
