A Southern California county will allow jailed Muslim women to wear headscarves after settling a lawsuit with a woman who claims that deputies violated her religious freedom by making her remove her hijab.

So she could use it to smuggle things in, hang herself, strangle someone else, or any number of other uses. And that's ok? Why not shave everyone's heads and be done with it.

Freedom in jail? WTF

They need to take away the tvs, weights, shops, computers, movies, scarfs, etc. This is jail. We run you, you don't run us. There is no middle ground unless you're in for life, then I could see the need to keep people occupied. Books and learning I think is great for prison..
