What did he do wrong?
40 years ago - the parents would have thanked him.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A man accused of using a BB gun and baseball bat to confront six girls draping a neighbor's tree with toilet paper was free Sunday on $10,000 bond.
Thomas Martin, 49, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree kidnapping and menacing after confronting the girls around midnight Friday.
Police said he forced the girls to lie on the ground, marched them to his driveway at BB-gunpoint and held them there until police arrived, even after one of their parents showed up.
"I just wanted to stop the TP'ing and the egging," Martin said Saturday.
Police would not disclose the girls' names and ages.
Martin said his own house has been egged or toilet-papered at least 10 times in recent months.
"I think I was frustrated with scraping eggs off the house and not being able to scrape it all off," Martin said. "I wish the whole thing hadn't happened. I regret that I'm forced to sit in my front yard to protect my property."
Asked why he needed weapons to confront the girls, Martin said he didn't intend to hurt them.
"I don't know who I'm dealing with late at night," said Martin. "Obviously I wasn't serious about it because it was a BB gun."
