Mom's day

I'm heading up to visit the fam next weekend for a combo Mom's day and younger Nephew's Birthday. Brendan - he turns 19.

My first 19 years didn't go that fast. I don't know how his did!

My first 19 years was a complete lifetime. Now the years go by faster than I can count. I mean deamn, it freakin May already. Next thing ya know, it will be Christmas time again.

It took forwever to hit 16. Forever to hit 18. Forever to hit 21.

Then the turbo kicked in...

Would someone please plug the friggin turbo?

And now there's more shit I find I want to do. So slow down, damn it!

I hit 45 this August. Halfway through my 40's and headed to 50. Can't f-ing believe it.

I remember thinking 40 was pretty old not too long ago. Certainly 50 was way old.

I only have one strategy to deal with it all. I refuse to grow up.

I'm not far behind you. I feel like I'm still in my 20's. I like to keep fit, so I still look ok. I just don't want to turn into a pot bellied, balding comb-over, wind breaker.

I may end up going bald, but I'll never comb-over. I'll shave my head before doing that. I just laugh at the idiots who part their hair just above their ear to flip it all over their head. Or who comb it forward from about the back of their neck. Never understood who they think they're fooling.

I don't have that problem, thank God. Shaving it is best at that point.

I stay in shape by raising my heartrate, comparable to going for a jog. People have been saying that I'm going bald ever since I was in First Grade. I've had the same hairline.
