No, not in the new home yet. We close escrow March 3rd but it will still be a few weeks after that before we move in. I'm going to have all the flooring ripped out and replaced. I've got a 1.9% tax rate and the flooring I was going to have put in would have added $50,000 onto the final appraisal of the house. I just couldn't see myself paying 1.9% for 30 years on my flooring so I had them put in standard crap and payed cash to have them come in after we close and upgrade everything.

That's ridiculous that you have to go through all that, but it'll be worth it in the end.

Yeah, it's BS. I even asked if we could close bare floor. The builder wont allow closing bare floor. Even that would have helped since now the flooring company has to come in and rip out the standard flooring before they lay the good stuff.

Hey, since this is a "Family" forum is Steve frowning on the use of questionable language? If so I aplogize but the french just tend to bring out the worst in me.
