I don't have one, but friends have the Blackberry and Treo. Can't do much with the Blackberry, but they like the Treo. I also head Microsoft is doing something to rival the wireless devices, like Blackberry. Just not sure when the new technology will be available (or how good it will be).

Yeah, I heard about VOIP for Windows palm machines. Imagine your city blanketed with WIMAX coverage. You cold go anywhere in the city and get "cell phone calls" without cell phone service.
It'll be huge in the future. Steve

I have a Blackberry and absolutley love it. Don't know how I ever got along without it. I wouldn't recommend it though. RIM, the compant that owns Blackberry is based out of Canada. They are being sued by NTP, a U.S. based company, for patent infringement. From the looks of it RIM is going to lose the lawsuit. Only government blackberrys are safe.
The Treo 650 is very nice. I haven't seen the 700 but would have to assume that it's just as nice. If I were you, I'd go with the Treo. |

VoIP is nice but I think they need to do a whole lot of refining to it. |

Yeah - Blacberry is probably lowest on my list because of the pending litigation.
I've been a PalmPilot user from almost the beginning. Had one of the first models. Currently have a Tungsten E. When my office computer crashed about 2 months ago I lost all the software installed on it and all the updates. I'd have to reinstall from the beginning. I have a nice cell phone, but am now beyond my 2 year agreement. So both of these happening about the same time have me considering getting a PDA Phone. I'm leaning towards having Windows Mobile as the operating system (as opposed to Palm OS) just for ease of moving files back and forth (excel, word etc...). I was able to do that with my Tungsten E, but with some limitations. I also liked being able to keep my Outlook at home synched with my outlook at work using the Tungsten. Of course, as with any technology like this, whatever I buy will end up being garbage can fodder in a year anyway because of new stuff. Decisions, decisions... Sigh... |
