What is Bush thinking?

So what's the deal with turning over the ports to that company from the UAE? Aside from the possible connection with terrorists, why the hell would we want to turn it over to a foreign company anyway?

I've read a little about it. Apparently a British company was running the ports before. So now they're saying that we're discriminating if we don't let the Arabs run the port since thye're buying the company. This has lots of the dems who went out on the attack now backpeddling like crazy.

Personally, I'm not too happy that any foreign company is running our ports. What's next - farm out the FBI to India?

We're selling out to the highest bidder. America is doomed.

What gets me is that Bush backed this deal with so much aggression. He even went as far as stating that he would veto any bill that tried to stop this deal. His administration then stated, after he made the veto threat, that the President didn't even know anything about this deal until all hell broke loose because of it.

This really worries me. What they're saying is that either Bush is selling us out to our enemies and wants us to "trust him". Or he's just a puppet doing and saying whatever people tell him to. Either way, I've lost a little confidence in this administration.

I've lost confidence in all of them. Let's get this crap under control. Let's start with immigration.

Absolutely agree. I don't know when Bush decided to get into bed with Vicente Fox but this shit has to stop. All of these illegal incursions accross the border need to be addressed. Even if it is smugglers and not the Mexican Military, yeah like I believe that, it's clear that border patrol agents are out gunned and out numbered. Bush needs to stop kissing Fox's ass and protect our borders.
