Call me crazy, but shouldn't these jets have a built-in indicator which lets them know if they are on the appropriate runway? Wouldn't that be easy to install? My God, 49 people are dead by such an obvious blunder.

I'm sure the compass was showing 260 instead of 220

This was tragic for such a silly mental error.
