I can tell you some things... I suggest living on the other side of the water [Yorktown, Williamsburg] and visiting VB when you need to smell the fine sea air.
My house is for sale... only 995,000. ![]() Steve

I like it better over here because there's less traffic, especially during the tourist season.
I can go anywhere I want without worry about a traffic jam [unless there is an accident]. The same cannot be said for the "southside." I also like the school systems over here better. But if you want to live near the ocean, VB is a great option. Beach people wouldn't live anywhere else -- they love Virginia Beach. I'm just an ol' land-lover. Steve

Thank you for replying. I have noticed that property is pretty expensive living on the ocean side. If I am going to move I want to be right on the beach. What I have seen living near the boardwalk seems very tight with condos and houses right on top of each other. Since there are no children I don't have to worry about schools. I just want to find a good job. Does anyone know about the hospitals near the area? Since I am in health care I would like to continue in that area.

Riverside and Sentara are the two biggest hospital organizations in the area.
I hear there are shortages in the industry so hopefully the salary will be to your liking. For potential homes, I recommend calling Bob at Southern Realty or Tom with William E Wood. Both are top notch agents and friends of mine. You'll see them in the real estate section of this site. Housing is cooling off a bit in the area. People are now dropping their price and paying closing costs. It's a buyer's market right now. Steve
