Whether you're coming from the North or the South, we're the perfect destination (the less driving you do, the more time you have to vacation and the less gas you spend). Speaking of spending less, the hotels on and off the strip are very cost-effective and there is fine dining that can accommodate any budget.
Coming to Virginia Beach also means getting the best of Hampton Roads. Williamsburg, Yorktown, Hampton, Newport News and Norfolk are minutes away and easily navigable by one major interstate (I64) -- giving you the ability to have multiple vacation "styles" during one trip.
Many vacationers spend one day in Williamsburg at Busch Gardens and/or shopping. Others spend a half day in Historic Yorktown while using the remainder of the day to visit various museums and restaurants. When you're not exploring the area, you can be soaking up the sand and surf in your Virginia Beach oceanfront hotel. Also, if Busch Gardens isn't enough, King's Dominion is just a couple of hours away.
