First Landing State Park
2500 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, VA

In the middle of Virginia Beach's fast paced tourist area lies 2888 acres of pristine pine forest, swamp and wetlands -- left much the same as the first explorers to this area found it.
First Landing State Park (formerly Seashore State Park) was created in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps. It boasts 19 miles of biking and hiking trails along with a myriad of camping facilities, boat ramps, swimming, natural history programs and picnic areas. You and your family can literally plan days of inexpensive outdoor fun. All facilities are handicap accessible. There is also a beautiful gazebo and amphitheater that can be rented for special events and weddings.
