The beach is packed full of super fun events during the summer months. The amount of things to do in July in Virginia Beach 2016 is plenitful! As for other events during the month, read below for a list of exciting ways to spend time in VA Beach.

1. Sandstock: A Tribute To Rock And Roll
This super groovy concert series takes place at the 24th Street Stage at the Oceanfront! This long running concert event is one of the many favorites at Virginia Beach. Enjoy the old tunes from popular bands like Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, and so many more. There will be two dueling stages here. The stage names are overwhelmingly fitting being called “Hippy Dippy Stage” and “Flower Power Stage”. Sandstock is a three day event. The tunes start at 6:30PM on Friday, July 1st and end at 9:30PM. Saturday and Sunday both have the showtimes starting at 6:30PM-9:30PM. This event is FREE and open to the public.

2. Treasures Of The Earth: Gem, Mineral, and Jewelry Show
If you love all things unique and beautiful, you want to be at this event! This weekend long event will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. You will see items here that you have never seen before! This event is family friendly. There will even be fossils to take a look at. The items that you will see here range from interesting pieces to highly expensive gems! It starts on Friday, July 15th at Noon and ends on Sunday, July 17th at 5:00PM. You don’t want to miss this event because they won’t be back until October! Feast your eyes on Treasures Of The Earth during this rare experience! Tickets are only $5.

3. Red White & Brew
Enjoy delicious beers of all varieties! This is an excellent event for people who like to taste different types of beers and wines made right here in the USA. This event will take place at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex located on 2182 Landstown Road on Saturday, July 16th. There will be a DJ, food trucks, and pie eating contests! How American… Tickets start at just $25 when you pay in advance. If you buy your tickets at the door, the price jumps to $45. There are two sessions for this Virginia Beach event. The first starts at 1:00PM, ending at 4:00PM. The second starts at 6:00PM, ending at 9:00PM.

4. Mid-Atlantic Hermit Crab Challenge
This FREE event is great for the whole family! See hermit crabs of all types here. Have you seen hermit crabs with beautifully decorated shells? You will see lots of that at the Hermit Crab Challenge. This event will take place Saturday, July 23rd. It will begin at 9:30AM and the fun will last until 3:00PM. Anyone can come and enjoy the hermit crabs as it is open to all. There will be hermit crab races, as well as contests for the best hermit crab displays. This is totally a fun and unique event. It is super cute and it will no doubt bring a smile to your face!

5. Eat The Streets 757
This foodie experience is great for people who like to eat the freshest foods from the locals! Bring your appetite to this event. Eat The Streets 757 will take place at the Mount Trashmore Park. This food truck series starts on Sunday, July 24th as a part of their “SUNday FUNday Series.” It begins at Noon and lasts until 3:00PM. You can make a day of this event by bringing a picnic basket, sit out in the shade, and lounge at the park! Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Mount Trashmore Park. It’s more beautiful than it sounds, we promise!

6. Captain Jack’s Pirate Adventures
Captain Jack's Pirate Ship has so much to offer! Scoot around the ocean like a pirate on the ship known as The Lost Pearl! Set sail on one of their Family Friendly Adventures or a Club 21+ Cruise. There is something for every type of vacationer. If you’re wanting the Family Friendly Adventure, you will endure a captivating pirate show, learn how to dance like a pirate, sing pirate songs, and possibly sight some dolphins! Pricing is $25 and under! The Club 21+ Cruise includes pirate skits that are raunchy and scandalous- just what a pirate would want! This Club 21+ Adventure is not for the faint of heart. And of course, you can’t be out at sea without the RUM! The rum is never gone at the Club 21+ Adventure Cruise… Dance the night away at sea on your next VA Beach getaway with Captain Jack’s Pirate Adventures.
