If you think that Virginia Beach is only great in the summer, then you have some reading to do! There are a ton of fun Virginia Beach events going on in January that you won’t want to miss. Many of these events are auto-related, some are great for the wine lovers, and there are some family-friendly events as well!

Hampton Roads International Auto Show

This event attracts many people from all over the region, making it a top thing to do in Virginia Beach!

It will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

Time and Dates 

Friday, January 10th: 9 am - 10 pm

Saturday, January 11th: 9 am - 10 pm

Sunday, January 12th: 9 am - 6 pm

Check out all of the latest automobiles, the old classics, and the innovative vehicles all under one roof.

Bring the family for this VA Beach event, it’s family friendly!

Ticket Information

Parking is FREE and plentiful.

There is no charge for children 12 and under to attend.  

Price for military with valid ID and senior citizens is $9.

Tidewater RV Show

Another fun thing to do Virginia Beach to enjoy if you are a vehicle lover is the Tidewater RV Show. Here you will find all of the trailers, campers, and accessories you want for your RV needs. You’ll also learn about some awesome travel destinations.

This RV show is a good place to meet people with similar hobbies! Just like the Hampton Roads International Auto Show, the Tidewater RV Show is located at the Virginia Beach Convention Center for a full three days, Friday, January 17th - Sunday, January 19th.

Time and Dates

Friday, January 17th: 12 noon - 8 pm

Saturday, January 18th: 10 am - 8 pm 

Sunday, January 19th: 11 am - 5 pm 

Ticket Information

$10 for adults

$5 for children ages 3 - 12.

Children 2 and under get in free.

Winter Wildlife Festival

This festival allows an interactive approach to learn about the animals in our area! You will be able to venture out to see the animals in their natural habitat.

Find yourself learning about seals, an array of birds, and other animals that call the bay their home.

Locations vary depending on what workshops are being attended. More information on that here!

Time and Dates

Times vary according for each workshop but range between these hours:

Friday, January 24th: 8 am - 8:30 pm

Saturday, January 25th: 8 am - 9 pm

Sunday, January 26th: 8 am - 4 pm

Ticket pricing varies depending on what workshops are being attended.

Coastal Virginia Wine Fest

 

The Coastal Virginia Wine Festival will be located at the Virginia Beach Convetion Center.

Time and Dates

Saturday, Janurary, 25th: 12 noon - 6 pm 

Sunday, January, 26th: 12 noon - 5 pm

The Coastal Virginia Wine Fest is the best way to get together with friends and sip the most delicious wines from the area. Many local vendors will be present.

The various vendors here will be serving foods, displaying and selling arts and crafts. You can also learn the art of grape stomping! It’s just what every wine lover should know!

Although humans are not particularly fond of this cold weather that brings the cold water, it's absolutely perfect for whales!
