This Virginia Beach event brings soccer fans from all over the world to participate in the 23rd annual North American Sand Soccer Championships at the oceanfront. This event is free and open to the public for spectators, however there is a fee to play in a squad. The tournament is organized into age groups from 8 to 19 and also open for adult men and women of all ages. Not only are there youth and adult brackets, adult professional teams have a large stadium on 24th street that is sure to entertain all sports fans with impressive skill from all over the world. This year at the sand soccer championships, a beach soccer legend named Ramiro Amarelle, captain of FC Barcelona's beach team, will be participating and leading camp sessions prior to the championships. If soccer isn't your favorite, there will also be beach lacrosse, field hockey, and flag football. There will also be food, art, and merchandise of all sorts to see on the boardwalk.
